The Maryland Horse Trials Spring Starter Horse Trials are the perfect way to get competition mileage in a friendly supportive atmosphere.
This is a popular outing… so get your documents in & secure your entry early!
Choose from below for our Starter Horse Trials & Combined Tests, or select to do just jumping or dressage.
Intro: 18" - 2' USDF 2015 Intro TEST B
Elementary: 2' - 2'3" USDF 2015 Intro TEST C
Beg. Novice: 2'7" USEF 2014 BN TEST A
Novice: 2'11" USEF 2014 Novice TEST A
Training: 3'3" USEF 2014 Training TEST A
Prelim/Training: 3'7" USEF 2014 Preliminary TEST A
Just want to do Dressage? Please specify in your Note to Organizer which Test you want.
Bring your non-competing horse for only $25 and let him get exposed to the Competition environment!

• Download dressage tests at http://useventing.com/competitions/dressage
--Bring your own pinny holders! Paper pinny numbers will be used.
--NO unleashed dogs. Unleashed dogs will incur $100 fine and competitor elimination.
--The Starter Trial is scored with ribbons.
--Combined Tests are ridden HC 'hors concours’ (no ribbons) unless there are 4 or more entries at the same level. All sub-divisions (extra SJ, XC, Dressage) are HC.
--No unauthorized motor vehicles of any kind allowed on course or near dressage area.
--Vet & Farrier will be on call.
-We offer stabling for $50 per horse w/ $25 muck deposit. Email mdhorsetrials@gmail.com for availability.
POLICIES & FEES:
NO REFUNDS after Closing Date. Before closing date, Refund less $25 office fee.
Competition Cancellation: NO REFUND. SJ rounds will replace XC due to bad weather or unsafe footing.
• Non-competing horse grounds fees: $25 per horse.
Note: Any entry incomplete by Closing Date will be charged the $25 Late Entry Fee to complete entry processing (assuming the show is not already full.)
NO paperwork is done on show day!

Ride Time: Ride times will be posted on the THURSDAY before the show at www.themarylandhorsetrials.com.NOTE: Rides Times are ONLY assigned for complete entries. Make sure to attach Coggins & signed MDHT Loch Moy Farm Liability Release to your Event Clinics entry! Or fax to 866-533-2125 PRIOR to Closing Date to avoid Late Entry Fee! Incomplete entries are automatically NOT entered & will be assigned Waitlist status. 
Trailer Direction: From Washington D.C.--Approximate distance: 40 milesFrom Route 495, take Route 270 North, towards Frederick. Continue on Rt. 270 N, approximately 26 miles, to Exit 26 for Route 80 West, Buckeystown/Urbana. Turn right off the exit ramp, circling under Rt. 270 and continue on Rt. 80 W, approximately 1.5 miles to Park Mills Road on the left. Turn left onto Park Mills Rd. and continue straight for approximately 5.8 miles to the entrance on the right.
