Oakendale Farm LLC
Equestrian Summer Camp 2018

Our program is designed for boys and girls ages 6 and up, whether you are new to horses or an experienced rider. Each morning campers will participate in an hour group English riding lesson. We have horses of all sizes and levels to accommodate each rider. Campers will groom and tack up their own horses with assistance when needed. The afternoons are spent in unmounted instruction. Topics include daily care, nutrition, breeds, colors, parts of the horse and tack, disciplines, health and other important parts of horsemanship. During the week campers will design and paint a wooden picture frame and have their picture taken with their favorite horse, enjoy a trail ride, horse bathing and each Friday is spent playing games on horseback and unmounted. When you think you know it all there is always more to learn while having fun!
