PVDA Tea Is For Training Horse Show Organization - Scoring Scribing Show Management Secretary Ring Setup
Every year PVDA hosts ‘Tea Is For Training’. The ‘Tea’ is an annual event, usually held in February, where PVDA offers several informal ‘fun oriented’ training sessions for volunteers interested in learning about the jobs required to run a PVDA Schooling Show or Recognized Show.
Training is offered in show preparations, scoring, scribing, managing the show, bit checking, being a show secretary, how to set up a show ring, being a runner for the judges, and being a ring steward, etc. A delicious lunch is always served, and a lot of ‘fun and camaraderie’ are had by all. This event is free for PVDA members with a small fee for non-members. Registration is required. If you have any questions about the ‘Tea Is For Training’, you can send an email to our education committee at education@pvda.org.
