There are a few things you’ll want to keep in mind when posting an opportunity on the STRIDER™ platform.

 1. Comply with Our Platform Terms & Policies
By posting on the STRIDER platform, you agree to accept digital entries and/or payment through STRIDER.
Links or instructions in your STRIDER posting that direct riders elsewhere for entry/payment are prohibited.
–Don’t tell them to pay you offline
–Don’t send them to another url to submit payment
–Don’t use the description area to advertise a second event that can’t actually be entered on STRIDER.

Use common sense…you wouldn’t want one of your clients to post advertisements for the barn down the road on your website, would you?

2. Taxes & Refunds
You are responsible for collection of all applicable taxes, reporting to municipal and federal authorities and issuing all refunds, as applicable.

3. Comply With Federal Copyright  Laws
It’s absolutely worth your time to use a great photo. You’ll get 40-60% more clicks on your activity if you post with a great photo vs a text filled flier.

However, all graphics use must comply with Federal and State copyright laws.

Take the appropriate steps to get permission from the photographer or Rider to use.  Per our platform terms of use you will be held 100% financially liable for any copyright infringement claims.  No screenshot steals!

4. Comply With European, Federal, State & Local Privacy Laws
You’re required to abide by all applicable laws, to include European Union, Federal, state and local privacy laws.

Be prudent in collection and use of Personally Identifiable Information such as names, signatures, home addresses. If you operate in California, be certain to review the California Consumer Privacy Act.

5. Comply with the Federal CAN-SPAM Act
You’re required to abide by the Federal CAN-SPAM act in the use of all email addresses obtained through the use of STRIDER Platform services, and are wholly liable for any violations you incur or spam complaints you cause.

The CAN-SPAM Act establishes requirements for what mass email messages you may send out as a business, gives recipients the right to have you stop emailing them, and spells out tough penalties for violations.

Each separate email in violation of the CAN-SPAM Act is subject to penalties of up to $43,280, so non-compliance can be costly.

Bottom Line: DO NOT transfer any email addresses you collect thru STRIDER to third parties, such as to your show vendors or corporate sponsors, without the client’s explicit written consent.  Selling your show email list can cost you a lot in the long run!

Team STRIDER looks forward to supporting your activities and venues.

Please feel free to contact our team if you need clarification or have any questions.
