Get ready for spring with XC Prep at Windchase with Olympian Phyllis Dawson!
We'll be schooling XC obstacles on the XC course if ground is good and in the arena if footing is boggy.
All clinics are designed to be inviting and user-friendly. We will keep things very basic for the greener groups, and will incorporate some more creative elements for the higher groups as appropriate. Exercises and fence heights can be adjusted within a group for each horse as needed.
March Clinic Dates
Saturday March 12 - SJ coursework
Saturday March 19 - XC Fundamentals schooling in the arena
March 26 - XC Fundamentals on Windchase cross country course if footing permits, indoor if not.
Based in Purcellville Virginia, Phyllis Dawson is a veteran US Equestrian Team member and accredited USEA ICP IV instructor. She is a highly sought clinician due to her wealth of experience in developing riders and horses up through the levels.
Her list of accomplishments include finishing 10th- the highest placed American rider- at the Seoul Olympic Games, Burghley CCI****, as well as winning Three Day Events at Radnor, Essex, North Georgia, Checkmate, and Bromont Three Day Events.

Organizer Notes
Each clinic will run from approximately 10:00am to about 5:00pm.
Clinic groups available from Elementary to Intermediate, with 3 to 5 riders in each group. Get your entries in early- Windchase clinics fill up quickly.
-Bring a check with you for appropriate amount made out to "Windchase" and leave in tack room box.
-- If you haven’t signed a Windchase release in 2015, please attach a signed release and Coggins to your entry.
Entries close the Thursday before each clinic. Price is $55 for boarders and $75 for trailer-ins. Cancellations less than 2 days prior to clinic may be charged a $25 office fee. Please email pwindchase@aol.com directly if you need to cancel.

Ride Time: Ride Times will be emailed out by Friday prior to each clinic. Please mention in Note to Organizer any schedule requests and we will try to honor them. 
Trailer Direction: From Leesburg, VA: Take Route 7 West for about 2 miles. At the top of a long hill, exit to the right on Route 9 towards Hillsboro (at bottom of exit ramp turn right). Follow Route 9 for about 8 miles until you come to the town of Hillsboro. Continue on through Hillsboro, and go approximately 2 more miles. Turn right on Route 671, the Harpers Ferry Road (there is a traffic light here). Go 1.3 miles, then turn left on Kidwell Road (Route 787); this is a gravel road. Take the fourth driveway on the right; there is a rock which has the name Windchase on it. Approximate driving time: 25 minutes.
