Burghley 2016 champion, Christopher Burton will teach a TWO-DAY clinic at Fresno County Horse Park February 27-28, 2017!
Christopher's three star wins began in 2005 when he won Scone and since then in 2008 he won the CCI4*
at Adelaide, riding Lou Verwey's Newsprint.
In 2010 Chris and Leilani were part of the Australian team at the World Equestrian Game at Kentucky. In 2011 Chris made the decision to take himself and a small team of 2**, 3*** and 4*** horses to England in the run up to the London Olympics.
The move paid off when he and Holstein Park Leilani represented Australia at the London 2012 Olympics.
In 2014 Chris was selected as part of the Australian team for the World Equestrian Games in Caen with
TS Jamaimo. The horse with whom Chris won the Adelaide 4* in 2013 as a catch ride.
2015 was a successful year for Chris, including 4th at Luhmuhlen with Graf Liberty, first at the British
Open Championships with TS Jamaimo and 3rd and 4th at Burghley with TS Jamaimo and Haruzac. To
top off a great year, Chris finished the season in second place in the FEI World Rankings. In 2016 Chris
attended the Rio Olympics on Santano II and was 5th in individual standings and the team was 3rd. Chris
also won the prestigious Burghley Horse trials in 2016.
